Gruene Outfitters

Gruene Outfitters is a clothing shop located in the heart of historic Gruene, Texas, and has been serving the hill country community. The shop carries brands and gear for the outdoor lifestyle, including fly fishing.

The building that houses Gruene Outfitters was originally the Gruene Brothers' Garage. In 1989, Ray Box opened Gruene Outfitters with a small rack of Patagonia clothing and a boat building operation in the back room. He had a huge passion for fly-fishing.

Tiffany Yeates began working at the store in 2000 and purchased the business in 2006. She manages the two retail locations, including The Pomegranate, which was opened in 2016 to expand women's clothing and add children's goods. The team at Gruene Outfitters includes Eric Feldkamp, Shah Simac, and Mallory Gallaher, who all share a passion for the outdoors.

Gruene Outfitters offers fly shop services, including tips and advice on knot tying, fly selection, and reading the water. They also recommend local guides and guide services, such as All Water Guides and Action Angler. The shop is located at 1629 Hunter Road, New Braunfels, TX 78130, and can be contacted at (830) 625-4440 or info@GrueneOutfitters.com.

The shop participates in events, such as the Agua Fresca 2021 Team Challenges, which includes various challenges such as introducing the team, showing off Gruene Outfitters gear, and picking up trash along public waterways. Teams can earn points and prizes for participating in these challenges.
